Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Presidium held a meeting with the delegation headed by the rector of the Turkey Dokuz Eylul University, Professor Nukhet Hotar on June 7.

ANAS Vice-president, academician Isa Habibbeyli told about the historical path of ANAS development, scientific directions, as well as reforms. He noted that, Academy pays special attention to the effectiveness of research works, international innovative projects are being successfully implemented here.

Academician also noted the importance of interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences, as well as various scientific research on prospective projects.

Stressing that, international scientific cooperation covers a wide geography under the leadership of the president of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh, I. Habibbeyli said that, important steps were taken in the field of scientific cooperation between the two countries in all spheres.

Then, N.Hotar told about the history of the university, its achievements and development. Recalling the high level of relations between the two fraternal peoples in the field of science and higher education, the rector also touched on the prospects for future cooperation.

The meeting was attended by head of the Office of International Relations of ANAS Presidium, D.Ph. in Biologi, Associate Professor Esmira Alirzaeva, university staff and professors - Asuman Altai, Levent Chovash and Gulmira Kuruoglu.
