Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A meeting of the Bureau of Social Sciences Division of ANAS was held. Academician-secretary of the department, academician Nargiz Akhundova, bureau members, heads of scientific institutions and employees of the department participated at the event.

Academician Nargiz Akhundova opened the meeting with introductory remarks and informed on the agenda issues.

Then Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, doctor of historical sciences Najaf Museyibli delivered a scientific report on "Archeological researches in Azerbaijan: achievements and perspectives".

The next issue on the agenda was the letters addressed to institutions and organizations by the section. Relevant scientific institutions were given instructions on how to respond to these documents.

At the event, the issue of awarding a group of employees of the Central Scientific Library of ANAS with the Honorary Decree of the Division was considered. It was noted that this year CSL marks the 95th anniversary. Also, 5 years have passed since the launch of the new building of the CSL, which was opened in May 2014 with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh.

Then, a number of employees of the CSL were awarded Honorary decrees of the Division for their effective activities.
