Division of Physical Mathematical and Technical Sciences discussed the project on distance monitoring of the republic territory

ANAS Division of Physical Mathematical and Technical Sciences held the next meeting on June 20.

A the meeting held at the Institute of Physics one of the main issues was the scientific project on "Development of a distance monitoring and control system based on satellite and satellite optical observations in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan" by Director of Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory, correspondent member of ANAS Namik Jalilov.

Namik Jalilov said that, the main objective of the project is to create an operative, accurate, large-scale and at the same time efficient remote monitoring of the environment, the creation and utilization of the control system.

In addition, surface spectrophotometric measurements and satellite data allow for the construction of a dynamic optical model of the local area and that these models can be used for many practical diagnostic purposes.

According to N.Jalilov, the aerospace database being created and the space monitoring system should become an integral part of the national information infrastructure.

At the meeting it was noted that many countries have joined the program of the influential AERONET (AErosolROboticNET-work) satellite program organized under the auspices of UNESCO.

It was noted that, this program allows continuous spectrophotometric data acquisition from different satellites and the world's satellite AERONET, and our country's accession to this program remains an urgent issue.

Then, discussions were held around the project.

It was decided to support the project and it was recommended that other institutions be involved in its implementation.
