Next seminar about great scientist Farhad Zeynalov on "Turkology" journal was held. This event has been dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Turkic scientist Farhad Zeynalov.

Editor-in-chief of "Turkology" journal, academician Kamal Abdullayev moderated the seminar at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.

The main purpose of the seminar was to discuss the achievements and problems of the Turkic science with the joint participation of Turkish scholars, to introduce young Turkologists to the prominent predecessors and successors of this science, to their scientific heritage, to contribute to the development of Turkology and its relationship with other sciences said. K.Abdullayev underlined that Farhad Zeynalov’s role in this direction.

Later, Farhad Zeynalov's student, Professor of Baku State University, Mammadali Gypchag shared her memories about her teacher, who was a great contributor to his education. He noted that Farhad Zeynalov made a great contribution to the studies in the Turkic studies by establishing the Turkology Department at the time when Turkological studies were not permitted.

Elchin Ibrahimov, the responsible secretary of the Turkology journal, emphasized that Farhad Zeynalov's valuable works on Turkology are read in various Turkic cultural centers.

The seminar was also attended by the director of the Institute of Linguistics, academician Mohsun Nagisoylu, director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov, professor Aydin Alakbarov, professors of Baku State University Rufat Rustamov, Ramiz Asker, Vagif Sultanli, Maharram Mammadli and Tofig Hajiyev and others.

Finally, Vugar Zeynalli, the son of Farhad Zeynalov, expressed gratitude to the editor-in-chief of the journal, Kamal Abdullayev, the speakers and the participants for the high-level organization of the seminar.
