Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Academician Yagub Mahmudov, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), was elected as a full member of the International Academy of Sciences of the Turkic World and awarded the Academy's International Gold Star Medal for his contribution to the Turkic world.

Professor Elchin Isgandarzadeh, the representative of the International Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan for International Studies, presented the diploma of the Academy, the International Gold Star medal and mantle to Yagub Mahmudov.

Elchin Isgandarzade said that famous people from turcik world awarded the title: Suleyman Demirel, Rauf Denktash, Chingiz Aytmatov, Ihsan Dogramaci, Ramiz Mehdiyev, Arif Pashayev, Jamil Aliyev, Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh and others.

Historian scientist thanked the International Academy of Sciences for the contributions to the Turkic World Research Institute, saying that it is a great value not only for him, but for the activities and scholars of the Institute of History. He presented the Academy two volume  "Encyclopedia of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic ".
