Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Scientific session on "Literary trends: Poetics and Aesthetics" was held at the Institute of Literature named after N.Ganjavi of ANAS.

The event was opened by vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Isa Habibbayli and spoke about literary trends and their position in Azerbaijani literature. The academician has said that literary trends have been studied little by little and stressed the need for a profound study. He said that it is important for the proper transformation of the history of literature. I.Habibbayli informed about the activities of scientists such as Yashar Garayev, Mammad Jafar Jafarov, Huseyn Hashimli and Gorkhmaz Guliyev, who conducts researches on studying literary trends. He also noted that the Institute also has a separate branch of the Literary Crisis for studying the problem.

The lecture of the department's head, professor Tahira Mammad on "Divan Literature and Problems of Literary Currents" was also listened at the event.
