The head of the Ganja City Executive Authority Niyazi Bayramov received Professor of the CAMNES research center and the University of Catania, Nicola Laner.
The meeting was attended by head of the Ganja archaeological expedition, head of Department of ANAS Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, PhD in History Bakhtiyar Jalilov, head of ANAS Ganja Division, Professor Fuad Aliyev and rector of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University, corresponding member of ANAS Ibrahim Jafarov.
Niyazi Bayramov said that Ganja has an ancient history. He noted that, the creation of such archaeological park will give a more detailed picture of the past of Azerbaijan and will attract the attention of local people and tourists.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of an archaeological open-air museum. The meeting also discussed the scientific exchange on promotion of winemaking and tourism within the framework of the “Erasmus” project and the Ganja universities. Lastly, an agreement was reached on the creation of an archaeological open-air museum.
