The monograph “Tabriz Theater and Boyukhan Nakhchivanski” has been published by head of the Music and Theater of the Institute of Art, Language and Literature of ANAS Nakhchivan Division, PhD in Art, Associate Professor Ali Gahramanov.

The monograph presented a new historical facts on Tabriz Theater, provides information on the outstanding actors and directors of this cultural center, as well as on the creation and activities of theater groups in Tabriz.

Since its founding, the outstanding theatrical and cultural figure Boyukhan Nakhchivanski has also played an important role in the development of the Nakhchivan Theater, which has had a great influence on cultural revival.

The new edition covers Boyukhan Nakhchivanski’s life and art. It is shown that the main goal of performances and plays performed by the actor is to propagate the ideas of enlightenment among the people.

The monograph tells about the ancient period of development of theatrical figures of Nakhchivan at the beginning of the century. The author published the Tabriz archives of that time, documents from the Tbilisi Theater, as well as sources and archives reflecting the ancient theatrical history of Nakhchivan.
