On September 24, Institute of Architecture and Art of ANAS organized a round table on "Intercultural Dialogue" with the joint organization of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art (ASUCA).
Opening the event, Khazar Zeynalov, deputy director on scientific affairs at the Institute, PhD in Art, said the roundtable was in line with the agreement signed between the two organizations this year. He noted that the agreement envisages implementation of several important measures within the framework of the agreement for 2019-2022.
Then, the vice-rector for science and creative affairs of the ASUCA, Dr. Philology, Professor Maryam Alizadeh, spoke about the important role of dialogue in the promotion of intercultural dialogue and the preservation of cultural heritage.
M. Alizadeh said that since 2008, “Baku Process” has been launched in order to establish fruitful and effective dialogue among cultures and civilizations. He said that as a result of these steps, the Azerbaijani culture was recognized in the global arena, and the historical monuments of our country were included in the UNESCO tangible and intangible cultural heritage list.
The event was also attended by Rena Abdullayeva, head department of the Institute of Architecture and Art, leading scientific workers of the enterprise, associate professors - Samira Mir-Bagirzadeh, Korkhmaz Alilijanzade, chairmen of ASUCA, PhDs in Culturology – Khaladdin Sofiyev, Sadagat Aliyeva and others made speech on multicultural values of our country, its contribution to intercultural dialogue, the relevance of intercultural relations, preservation and promotion of our historical heritage.
