On October 4, the presentation of the book "National ideology: tradition and modernity", publishing by the staff of the Institute of History of Science (IHS), was held at the Central Scientific Library of ANAS.
The book was released as part of the Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan project "Azerbaijani ideology: tradition and modernity". The head of the project is Maryam Seyidbayli, a director of IHS, Fr. History. The book is written by the vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli.
Opening the event, academician Isa Habibbayli said that the conceptual basis of the successful statehood policy in our country today is the national ideology, developed by great leader Heydar Aliyev. He noted that the national ideology reflects national interests of our nation.
Reminding that the World Congress of World Azerbaijanis was held on the initiative of the national leader in 2001, I. Habibbayli noted that today national ideology was further enriched and enhanced by President Ilham Aliyev. Currently, Divisions of Humanitarian and Social Sciences of ANAS is being charged by vital tasks and the publication of this book is of great importance as well, he said.
Then, Maryam Seyidbayli said that the book reflects the role of the great leader in the theoretical and practical development of national ideology, as well as the development of this ideology in statehood activity of President Ilham Aliyev and in other issues. He noted that the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the promotion of national ideology and multicultural values were widely covered in the publication.
The event was also attended by academician-secretary of the Division of Social Sciences, academician Nargiz Akhundova, director of the Caucasus Institute, corresponding member of ANAS Musa Gasimli, director of the Institute of Philosophy, Dr. Philosphy Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh, others spoke about the history, political significance of national ideology and highly appreciated the publication.
