Batabat Astrophysical Observatory, ANAS Nakhchivan Division held scientific seminar on "Modern problems of physics and astronomy".

The seminar, as part of "Startup" project attended by the first and second grade students of the Physics Department of Nakhchivan State University.

Opening the event, Director of the Observatory, Ph.D in physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Gulu Khaziev recalled the order of the chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov “On supporting additional measures and innovations on transferring specialties to relevant organizations in higher and secondary special educational institutions” dated 3 April 2019

He noted that, one of the main tasks is the organization of various scientific events with university students in the Autonomous Republic, increasing their knowledge, skills and interest in science.

Later, G.Khaziev delivered a paper on “Modern problems of physics and astronomy”, a junior researcher Vafa Gafarova - “Black Holes in the Universe” and Turkan Mammadova - “Modern ground-based optical telescopes”.

In conclusion, responded students' questions.
