Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The next workshop was held in the framework of the project "Promotion of Technology Transfer and Commercialization in Azerbaijan" jointly organized by the High Technologies Park of ANAS (HTP) and the Institute of Science and Technology Policy of South Korea, on October 16.

At the event held at the Central Scientific Library was attended by director of HT Park, Dr. Earth Sciences, Associate Professor Samir Mammadov, Head of International Relations Office Department of Relations with Eastern Countries of the Presidium of ANAS Bunyamin Seyidov, STEPI Coordinator - Training Coordinator Eun Joo Kim, Professor of Hanbat National University Jong In Choi, including members of ANAS scientific institutions and organizations.

Opening the event, Director of HT Park S. Mammadov said that the workshop was already held for the third time and that the main goal was to study technology transfer opportunities and commercialization of scientific achievements with Korean scientists.

Then Eun Joo Kim said that they have been cooperating with ANAS since 2017. He noted that the cooperation between the two organizations includes not only technology transfer, but also technology park management and implementation of start-up ideas. Stating that STEPI has over 70 years of experience, Kim has expressed interest in transferring its capabilities to a developing country like Azerbaijan.

During the workshop Jong In Choi, Professor of Hanbat National University, delivered a lecture on “South Korea's "Technology Entrepreneurship and Ideation based start-up”, chief department of ANAS - HTP Zaur Ahmadzadeh on ”Presentation of the Progress and Achievement of 2019 Project”, and Head of “Innova Ventures Group” Vusal Suleyman on “The cases of application and improvement of business capacity after the training for STI capacity development in Korea”, also questions were responded.
