Presentation of the book "History of Baku State University" was held

Presentation of the book "History of Baku State University", co-authored by the staff of ANAS Institute of Science History (ISH), PhDs Ziyad Amrahov and Samir Ismayilov, was held.

The editor of the book and the author of "Preface" is Meryem Seyidbayli, the director of ISH, Dr. History associate professor.

Opening the event, M. Seyidbayli glanced at the honorable history of the first European high school in Azerbaijan - Baku State University. Describing the establishment of the university as one of the great achievements of the Azerbaijan People Republic, M.Seyidbeyli said that the book is a worthy contribution to the 100th anniversary of APR and BSU.

Then Ziyad Amrahov spoke about the need to write the book and the research process. The author says that the APR government's efforts to establish the university, its activities during the post-Republic, the training of pedagogical staff, the restoration of the organization's historical name following the request of Azerbaijani intellectuals and other issues were investigated.

The event was also attended by the scientific secretary of the Institute, PhD in Politics Zaur Aliyev, a leading researcher of the institute Hikmat Dayiev, a leading researcher of the Institute of History PhD in History associate professor Dilavar Azimli and others highly praised the publication as a worthy contribution to the 100th anniversary of BSU, including the APR, and the research work involved.
