Important scientific results were obtained at the Institute of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ganja Division

Reporting session on research works carried out in the laboratories of the Institute of Ecology and Natural Resources of ANAS Ganja Branch within a year was held.

It was noted at the meeting that the staff of the Laboratory for Waste Research and Research conducted research on the composition and physical-mechanical properties of clay in Dashafur and Miskinli deposits of Gadabay region. In addition, the research work carried out by the laboratory staff at the Institute of Polymer Materials of ANAS in the field of chemical and mineralogical studies has yielded positive results.

Speaking at the event, academician Fuad Aliyev highlighted the importance of using innovative technologies in line with national programs on socio-economic development of the regions, highlighting the importance of creating waste-free or low-waste industries, recycling industrial and domestic waste.

Then head laboratory, PhD in Chemistry Associate Professor Mahira Sharifova said that the research in the field of compositions and the study of physical and mechanical properties was conducted jointly with the Polymer Materials Recycling and Ecology Laboratory and the results were satisfactory. He said that in the reporting year, laboratory staff published 6 articles and thesis in various scientific journals.

Speaking at the meeting, Ilaha Jafarova, head Laboratory of the Institute's Naftalan Oil and Surface Laboratory, Ph.D, highlighted the purpose of this year's research is to investigate local raw materials used as adsorbents for purification of Naftalan oil and wastes. She noted that two articles and 2 theses were published by the laboratory staff during the year.

The report of Mehriban Mammadova, the head Laboratory of the Institute of Physical and Chemical Analysis was also considered satisfactory.
