Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Antalya, Turkey held 14th Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgical Congress on October 23-26.

The event was attended by scientists from reputable research centers, universities and research institutes from more than 40 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Australia.

Azerbaijani scientists also attended the international congress. The delegation includes Nuru Bayramov, head of the Department of I Surgical Diseases of the Azerbaijan Medical University, corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Gurbankhan Muslimov, Doctor of Medicine Ruslan Mammadov, Elvin Isazade and Niyazi Ganbarli.

At the event, Azerbaijani surgeons reported on innovations in pancreatic surgery, successes in liver and bile duct surgery.

Video of liver transplantation, liver cysts, minimally invasive surgery was shown at the international congress, and discussions were discussed on laparoscopic surgery and more. At the end congress awarded the best scientific works.

Corresponding member of ANAS Nuru Bayramov, Ph.D in Medicine Ruslan Mammadov and Elvin Isazade have been awarded the first place for research on "Classification of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Surgery for Determination, Dissolution, and Procedure Problems".
