Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Nakhchivan Division, Manuscript Fund held a practical training for the first-year students of Nakhchivan State University, “Translation” (Arabic-Azerbaijan) and “Translation” (Persian-Azerbaijan) specialties.

The event was organized in accordance with the Decree by the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov “On Supporting Additional Measures and Innovations in the Provision of Specialties of Higher Educational Institutions and Secondary Special Education to to relevant organizations” dated April 3, 2019. The main goal of the event is to connect students' knowledge with scientific research.

Opening the event, Director of the Manuscript Fund, Doctor of Philology Farman Khalilov informed the students on the scientific activities of the fundation, protection of the ancient manuscripts and printed books. He noted that, extensive research works efforts are being made on a number of rare art samples, ancient printed books and letters related to Nakhchivan history and culture, involved in systematic research.

At the event, F.Khalilov delivered paper on "Methods of preparation of ancient manuscripts catalogs and printed books", head of Department, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Sabuhi Ibragimov on "Mollah Muhammad Nakhchivani’s philosophical works", Fakhreddin Eljazov - “The namesakes and their scientific and literary significance”.

Then, students got acquainted with the archive of the Manuscript Fund.
