ANAS Institute of Petrochemical Processes after academician Yusif Mammadaliyev held a conference on "The Pearls of Chemical Science" with the participation of students.

The event, organized by Institute of Petrochemical Processes and Baku Russian Information and Cultural Center is devoted to the role of prominent chemists, who have contributed to the development of chemistry and left an indelible mark on the history of mankind.

Opening the event, Director of the Institute, academician Vagif Abbasov spoke on the outstanding women chemists of Azerbaijan - Izzet Orujeva, Elmira Suleymanova, Fazila Samadova and introduced students with women Doctors of Sciences, working at the ANAS Institute of Petrochemical Processes.

Then, chief researcher at the Institute of Petrochemical Processes Gunay Nasibova delivered a paper on “The Pearls of Chemical Science” and informed on the life and activity of such famous women chemists in the history of science as Marie Skłodowska Curie, Irène Joliot-Curie, Vera Balandina, Margarita Wrangel, Marie-Anne Paulze Lavoisier.

In conclusion, the representative of Baku Russian Information and Cultural Center Yelena Shishkalova congratulated on 90th anniversary of Institute of Petrochemical Processes and thanked the staff of the institute for the attention paid to the younger generation.
