On November 22, Institute of Philosophy of ANAS, co-organized by the National Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, hosted for international scientific conference "Nasimi Phenomenon in Islamic Philosophy".

Opening the conference, director of the institute Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh said that with the announcement of 2019 as the Year of Nasimi in our country, the work of the great poet is widely analyzed by orientalists, linguists and historians. Although Nasimi is a philosopher-poet, some scholars call him a great philosopher, but this is not enough to reveal the completely philosophical context of the Nasimi period and his work, he noted.

Then, head department of Islamic Philosophy of the Institute corresponding member of ANAS Konul Bunyadzadeh said that in the “Year of Nasimi” the work of the great thinker was analyzed from different points of view.

Then there were listened lectures - “The philosophical significance of man and the universe in the verses of Imadaddin Nasimi”, “Nasimi's work in immigrant literature of the twentieth century”, “Sheikh Senan Ismi in the work of Nasimi”, “The unity of religions in Hurufism and a glance at the perfect person”, “Hurufism as a kind of esoteric philosophical doctrine of Islam."
