Director of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS Professor Maisa Rahimova met with Professor of Caucasus University State Conservatory in Kars, head department of Turkish Folk Music Professor Rafig Imrani, and head of Kars Culture and Art Association Vedat Akchayoz.

Professor M.Rahimova informed the guests about the research carried out at the Institute.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Professor R.Imrani said that Kars region of Turkey, especially the ancient Ani city is culturally and historically linked with the South Caucasus and Azerbaijan, and noted that many countries are interested in exploring the cultural history of the area.

V.Akchayoz, head of the Kars Culture and Art Association, who contributed to the Ani region's inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016, spoke about the region's historical monuments and its research in this area.

Within a meeting, it was proposed to sign a cooperation agreement between Khazar University in Kars and other research centers in the region and Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS to represent Azerbaijani scientists in the studies conducted in Kars and Ani monuments.

Finally, Turkish guests were presented scientific publications of the institute.
