Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of ANAS has released "Catalog of miniature Manuscripts".

The author of the catalog is PhD in Theology Naila Suleymanova, and scientific editor is Professor Pasha Karimov.

The book provides information on the most valuable miniature manuscripts stored in the manuscript treasury of the Institute, their authors, dates of relocation, sizes, paleographic features, and the number of miniatures in each manuscript. These manuscripts, mostly of the 15th and 19th centuries, are rich in works by great artists of the Near and Middle East - Firdovsi, Nizami, Sadi, Hafiz, Navai and Fuzuli.

Photographs of fine-colored miniatures in manuscripts preserved at the Institute are also included in publication.

The catalog is of great interest in the study of Azerbaijani miniature art, book culture, as well as our cultural heritage.
