Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On December 6, general meeting of the Division of Chemical Sciences was held at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of ANAS.

The event was attended by ANAS vice president academician Dilgam Taghiyev, academician-secretary of the Division, academician Vagif Farzaliyev, bureau members, as well as heads of scientific institutions attached to the division.

Opening the meeting, academician V. Farzaliyev informed about the issues on the agenda.

At first, diplomas, medals and commemorative badges were awarded to employees awarded by the President of the country and the Presidium of ANAS on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes.

Then, reports of the research institutes of the division were listened at the meeting. PhD in Technology Tarana Mammadova presented the report of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, corresponding member of ANAS Muhammed Babanli - Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, academician Vagif Farzaliyev - Institute of Chemistry of Additives, corresponding member of ANAS Bakhtiyar Mammadov - Institute of Polymer Materials. The reports noted that a number of activities were carried out at the institutes and scientific research was carried out following the instructions of the head of the country, including the “State Program for the Development of Industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2015-2020”, “State Program for the Implementation of the National Development Strategy on Information Society in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2016-2020 ”, “Strategic Roadmap for the National Economy and Key Sectors of Economy”, as well as the decisions of the Presidium of ANAS. In addition, information was provided on publications published this year, articles, grant projects, patents, as well as personnel training.

Reports of the active and corresponding members of the Division of Chemical Sciences were listened as well.

In conclusion, a number of current issues scheduled.
