Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A large-scale tree planting campaign was held on December 6 as part of the initiative of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva to plant 650,000 trees in the country, including Ganja, on the 650th anniversary of the great poet and thinker of Azerbaijan, Imaddaddin Nasimi.

The event, held under the slogan "Contribute to Nature" was attended by city authorities and enterprises, law enforcement agencies, academic, educational and health centers, sports organizations, students, as well as many volunteers. The staff of the Ganja Division of ANAS closely participated in the tree planting campaign.

During the day, more than 10,000 Eldar shami and decorative trees were planted in the park complex named after the great leader Heydar Aliyev and around the mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi.
