On December 9, presentation of the book “Triumph of the development strategy of the great leader Heydar Aliyev: the socio-economic consequences of the 50-year difficult path from recession to progress” was held by the head department of the Institute of Economics, corresponding member of ANAS Shahbaz Muradov.

Opening the event, organized in the Main Building of ANAS, director of the scientific institution, Professor Nazim Imanov, noted that the new publication, which analyzes the socio-economic consequences of the difficult path from recession to progress (1969–2019), is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the country's first nationwide leadership the leader. He noted that the founder of modern Azerbaijan H. Aliyev provided exceptional services in the development and strengthening of our republic. According to him, great leader always defended the interests of the Azerbaijani people and the state, and with his far-sighted political decisions, he managed to lead the country out of difficult times.

Then a lecturewas presented by ANAS vice-president academician Isa Habibbayli on “Valuable research work dedicated to the triumph of the development strategy of great leader Heydar Aliyev”. In his speech, academician spoke about the role of a national leader in the history of statehood. The book provides readers with facts about the life of a genius, his role in the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, the country's path from decline to stability. Political activities of the national leader, aimed at the progress and development of Azerbaijan are now successfully continued by his worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev, he noted.

Then lectures on topics “Victory of a successful socio-economic policy”, “A book reflecting the social position of a scientist-economist”, “Heydar Aliyev and employment strategy” were listened.

In conclusion, author of the book, Sh. Muradov, expressed gratitude to the organizers and participants of the event.
