Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Nasimi’s bas-relief was donated to the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, an exposition dedicated to the 650th anniversary of the great thinker and poet of the East, Imadaddin Nasimi, was replenished with another valuable exhibit. This exposition includes a bas-relief created 20 years ago by the national artist Natig Aliyev to establish in the area where Nasimi was buried (Aleppo, Syria).

The director of the museum, academician Rafael Huseynov, said that the bas-relief was ordered by the famous journalist Gulu Maharramli for taking it away to poet’s grave in Aleppo, but for various reasons the bas-relief was not transported.
