Vice-president of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, academician Akif Alizadeh, scientific secretary of the IGG, PhD in Geology-mineralogy Yegana Latifova and a leading researcher of this institute PhD in Geology-mineralogy Khalida Alizadeh's co-authored book "Methodology for Understanding Different Types of Geosystems and Lithogenesis" has been published.

The use of methodological studies for interconnected geosystems enables the logical (dialectical prediction) of the nature of geological processes and events occurring in areas where direct research is impossible. This scientific approach is the basis for a more accurate reconstruction of past events, a deeper understanding of modern processes, and a more accurate reflection of future directions.

The new edition is intended for geologists, experts in the exploration, exploration and development of oil and gas fields, as well as for a wide range of readers.
