Presented a new version of the Kazakh alphabet with Latin graphics

Employees of the Kazakhstan “Dil-Kazina” Center visited the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS.

During the meeting, scientists presented a new version of the Kazakh alphabet, based on Latin graphics.

Director of the Institute of Linguistics, academician Mohsun Naghisoylu informed the guests about the scientific institution headed by him.

Gulfar Majitova, an employee of the “Dil-Kazina” Center, said that the new version of the Kazakh alphabet with Latin graphics will play a major role in the rapprochement of Turkic-speaking countries, and Kazakhstan is already preparing to switch to the Latin alphabet by 2025.

Note that, Kazakhstan used Arabic graphics until the 1920s, Latin graphics by 1940, and Cyrillic graphics to date. The Kazakh alphabet, created on the basis of Cyrillic alphabet, consists of 42 letters.
