"Be a modern shade of the ancient city!" fine and applied art contest, organized by creative team of the City Art Azerbaijan project at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS has ended up.
The contest was realized by co-organization of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Architecture and Art Institute, Gobustan State Historical Reserve, Khazar University, Fund of Mirza Alakbar Sabir and Azerbaijan Society of Archeologists.
Opening the event, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the museum, PhD in History Sevinj Nasirova recalled that the presentation of the contest took place in February this year and thanked Naila Valikhanli, to the director of the museum for her support.
Then, academician Nargiz Akhundova, academician-secretary of the Division of Social Sciences of ANAS higlighted the importance of the contest.
The ceremony was also attended by chairman of Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, PhD in Physics, Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanov, chief department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, PhD in History, Assoc. Prof. Safar Ashurov and others who spoke about the role of the project in youth’s development and practical trainings carried out.
Later on, the names of the 10 winners of the contest were announced according to the results of the vote and winners of the first three places were awarded by Academician Nargiz Akhundova.
Note that, paintings of contest attendees were also exhibited during the event.
