Ganja Division discussed the tasks set at the General Meeting of ANAS

As you know, at the ANAS General Meeting held on December 28 last year, discussions were held regarding reforms and structural changes in the academy and research programs for 2020-2025.

At the meeting of the Presidium of the Ganja Division of the Academy, issues related to the decisions of the General Meeting, tasks arising from the report of the President of ANAS Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev were discussed.

At the meeting of the Presidium of the division, some changes to the structure of the academy,  selection of scientific priorities, rational use of natural resources, solution of environmental problems, study of alternative energy sources, study of the history of the western region of Azerbaijan based on archaeological and ethnographic materials and conduct of scientific research in the field of protecting the purity of the Azerbaijani language in the context of globalization have been identified as important tasks.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Ganja Division academician Fuad Aliyev spoke about the need for structural reforms, improving governance, modernizing the scientific infrastructure, improving the quality of training of scientific staff, as well as deepening the integration of science, education and the economy.

At the meeting, appropriate decisions were made to expand innovation, practical application of scientific results, provision of scientific support for the development and implementation of the ideology of Azerbaijan, as well as the development of international relations.

Speakers noted the importance of the tasks and recommendations given by academician Ramiz Mehdiyev at the ANAS General Meeting, in terms of the successful implementation of the tasks facing science in the modern era, and stated that they would mobilize all their knowledge and skills to overcome existing problems.
