Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

On January 10, Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS celebrated the 80th anniversary of the head of the Computer Linguistics Department, Doctor of Philology Professor Kamila Valiyeva.

During the event, director of the institute, academician Mohsun Naghisoylu described the prominent representative of Azerbaijani linguistics Kamila Valiyeva as a modest and humanistic person with rich erudition and deep knowledge. He said that her research direction was devoted to the problems of automatic processing of texts. She received her PhD in 1971 and a doctorate in 1997.

Noted that, Kamila Valiyeva was a member of the Expert Council for Language and Literature of the Republican Higher Attestation Commission. The scientist is currently a member of the scientific and defense councils of the Institute of Linguistics.

Then Sevinj Aliyeva, chairman of the Trade Union of the Institute, Doctor of Philology presented the Honorary Order of the organization to the scientist for her fruitful work in science.
