An interactive lesson for students of secondary schools of the Autonomous Republic on topic "Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for the years of independence (1995-2019)" was held in the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS. In an open lesson conducted by the chairman of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev, students were informed about the work done in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in the field of construction, beautification and other areas.

Academician Ismayil Hajiyev spoke about the arrival in Nakhchivan and invaluable services of the national leader Heydar Aliyev during the blockade of Nakhchivan by the Armenians. He noted that the continuation of the policy of building a great leader ensured the development of the autonomous republic in subsequent years under the leadership of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov.

According to the chairman of the Division, the successful implementation of the adopted state programs for the socio-economic development of the regions played an important role in ensuring development in the autonomous republic.

Speaking about construction and improvement works in Nakhchivan, the speaker noted that science is one of the most dynamically developing areas in the autonomous republic. “Caring for science has opened up great opportunities for the preparation of scientists and researchers,” said Ismail Hajiyev and noted that during this period numerous books and monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, articles and abstracts of scientists have been published. According to a special order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis, 1213 historical and cultural monuments were registered and certified in the Autonomous Republic, as well as more than 70 monuments were restored.

Noted that, thanks to the policies and reforms carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, our country has achieved great success and has become one of the strongest states.
