Institute of Polymer Materials of ANAS honors the memory of scientists who died during the events of January 20.

Thus, on January 24, 1990, employees of the institute, professors Ibrahim Ibrahimov, Svetlana Mammadova and Ismayil Mursagulov were attacked by military equipment of a large contingent of Soviet troops stationed in Azerbaijan on the Baku-Guba road. I. Ibrahimov and S. Mammadov died on the spot, and I. Mursagulov died in the hospital.

As part of the memorial event, IPM scientists pilgrimaged the Martyrs' Alley, as well as a memorial erected in memory of the martyrs on the Baku-Guba road.
