Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Architecture and Art  of ANAS has published a monograph "The image of Heydar Aliyev in fine art", dedicated to the 50th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev's coming to political power in the republic. The authors of the publication are the director of the institute corresponding member of ANAS Artegin Salamzadeh and deputy director, Ph.D. in Study of Art Khazar Zeynalov.

The scientific editor of the monograph is the well-known sculptor academician Omar Eldarov, and author of "Preface" is the first vice-president of ANAS academician Isa Habibbayli. It is the first large-scale scientific work, defining Heydar Aliyev's image as a major research object, in refined polygraphic design and illustrated book, in Azerbaijani and Russian.

The publication, which contains an introduction, three chapters, a summary and a list of literature, reflects a large number of images of the great leader, created by Azerbaijani and foreign artists, analyzes the art of the works, and their role and significance in the development of modern Azerbaijani art.

The scientific methodology of the monograph is based on the analysis of art criticism, generalizations and classifications. For the first time in Azerbaijani art, Heydar Aliyev's image was summarized in the conceptual context, his ideological-artistic, aesthetical, social-political, moral-ethical features were based on his position and importance in the art of Azerbaijan during the period of independence.
