On January 30, Azerbaijan-French University (AFU), operating under the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, hosted an event entitled "Is Planet a Living Creature?"
The event was co-organized by the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, French Institute, ANAS and AFU.
During the ceremony, first adviser of the French embassy Dominique Janty, director of the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh, director of the Azerbaijan-French University Vazeh Asgarov expressed their views on the topic.
Later, director of the Institute of Geography academician Ramiz Mammadov delivered a lecture on "Caspian Sea - the unique and relict geographical object of our planet".
The event featured interactive discussions by domestic and foreign researchers on "Contemporary Cosmic Methods for Understanding Climate Change on a Living Planet", "Esoteric Description of the Universe's Order" and other topics.
Note that, the event was held within the framework of "Night of Ideas", which aims to freely discuss topical issues each year and to exchange ideas on key issues of our time.
