An educational event with coronavirus was held at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics at the organization of the Joint Trade Union Committee of ANAS.

At the event, director of the institute corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov said that, in accordance with the president’s instructions, enlightenment activities on the coronavirus and methods of combating it were strengthened, as well as preventive measures in the country and at border points. He noted that with the support of the Trade Union, academic activities were launched in the academic institutions and organizations of the Academy with the involvement of specialized sanitary and epidemiological stations, medical specialists and other relevant bodies.

Further, the epidemiologist of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Yasamal district Sabir Mammadova provided information on the coronavirus and methods of protection. Reported that a new type of coronavirus found in Wuhan, (China), has been named the 2019 World Health Organization by nCoV.

S. Mammadova said that one of the main symptoms of the disease is headache, fever, cough, sneezing, loss of appetite, upset gastrointestinal tract. The epidemiologist touched on the importance of regular preventive measures - wash hands more often, and also when in contact with sick people, use alcohol, increase immunity, and take vitamin C.
