Director of Institute of erosion and irrigation of ANAS, PhD in agricultural sciences Seymur Safarli and employee of Institute, PhD in agricultural sciences Fuad Salimov were in scientific business trip in Poland. During trip were discussed the cooperation relations established between Institute of erosion and irrigation and Institute of technological natural study of Polish Republic in 2009. Within visit for the purpose of studying of opportunities of use of Geographical information system in various areas meetings with the organizations and the companies based in Warsaw, Olshtine, Krakow and Wroclaw were held. The Azerbaijan scientists were acquainted with models of application of GİS technologies in Poland for the purpose of water resources management, national reserves and forest conservation, soil cover and natural resources. Also was given information on the works, realized in this area at ANAS Institute of erosion and irrigation. During the meeting with the leadership of the Institute of Technology natural study of the Polish Republic were highly appreciated the results of joint work and discussed areas for further collaboration. It was noted that the results reached during long-term cooperation create opportunity for joint participation of two institutes in the international projects. For this purpose, it was proposed to establish a joint group to develop new projects and their representation in international organizations.
