II Special Department of ANAS Central Administration of the Presidium held workshop dedicated to “The effect of saline and eroded areas for land sliding in the Republic of Azerbaijan” lecture by Zakir Aliyev, PhD in agrarian sciences deputy director for scientific affairs of the Institute of Erosion and Irrigation.

The event was attended by members of the II Special Department of ANAS, the chiefs of staff of the Civil Defense (CD) of academic institutions and organizations of ANAS, the commanders of the health posts of several organizations, and others.

Head of Department Eldar Guliyev, opening workshop with remarks, gave information about the issues on the agenda.

Then the topic author PhD in agricultural sciences Zakir Aliyev gave detailed information on the impact of exposed soil to erosion and salinisation, landslides in the area, as well as the reasons for their occurrence.

In conclusion, Senior Specialist of the II Special Department Alimardan Muhammadov told about workshops had held in academic institutions and organizations of ANAS in June, July, August, 2014 in accordance with the plan of Civil Defense, as well as shortcomings and works implemented in this direction.

They exchanged views on the subject and responded questions.
