Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Department of Literary Relations of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS, the opening of the Center for Literary Studies of Alisher Navoi took place.

The center began its activities in accordance with the agreement signed between the Institute of Literature and the Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, first vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature academician Isa Habibbayli expressed confidence that the center will assist to identify new areas, conduct joint research and further strengthen the literary ties between our countries.

The rector of Tashkent State University of the Uzbek language and literature, Professor Shukhrat Sirozhiddinov, in his speech said that in accordance with the agreement signed between the two organizations, a physical education center was launched in Tashkent. He noted that the centers will play a role in the development of literary and cultural ties between the two peoples.

The head Department of Literary Relations of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philology Almas Binnatova noted that in recent years, conferences have been held with the participation of scientists of the two countries, the literary work of Nizami, Fizuli, Navoi and other writers has been studied.

In conclusion, the works of Alisher Navoi published by the Institute of Literature were presented to the attention of those present.
