Opening the event, chairman of the department, academician Ismayil Hajiyev, reminded the order of President Ilham Aliyev “On the 150th anniversary of Nariman Narimanov” dated February 14, 2020.

 The scientist also noted the development of the Action Plan on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of ANAS, which was approved by the decision of the Presidium.

Then, Ismayil Hajiyev handed the Honorary Diplomas of the Nakhchivan Division to the director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, corresponding member of ANAS Hajifahraddin Safarli on the occasion of his 70th birthday and head of the laboratory of the Institute of Biological Resources, doctor of philosophy in agrarian sciences, associate professor Sahib Hajiyev.

During the meeting, the report of the Director of the Manuscript Fund of the Division Doctor of Philological Sciences Farman Khalilov “Organization of the collection and cataloging of ancient manuscripts and printed books in the Manuscript Fund” was listened.

In conclusion, the research associates of the Institute of Natural Resources Eltun Ibrahimov was appointed head of the department of Economics, and Giyas Gurbanov - head of the department of Geography on a voluntary basis.
