An event dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy, one of the most tragic pages in the history of Azerbaijan, was held at the Institute of Physiology named after academician Abdulla Garayev of ANAS.
In advance, a minute of silence was honored the memory of the victims of the tragedy.
During the event, deputy director of the institute for science, Professor Ahmad Hajiyev, spoke about the brutal atrocities committed by Armenian bandits in Khojaly on the night of February 25-26.
Then the head laboratory of Formation of Environmental Factors and Analytics, PhD in Biology Afig Gaziyev, spoke about the genocides that our people faced in different periods of history, as well as about the tragedy in Khojaly.
Speaking at the ceremony, leading researcher of the Laboratory for Longevity PhD in Biology Sevinj Huseynova, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, PhD in Biology Zenfira Gadimova noted that the genocide committed by the Armenians in Azerbaijan is one of the bloodiest crimes in the world and emphasized the importance of exposing Armenian lies.
