Museum held a scientific conference on “Tragedy, recognizing by the world - Khojaly genocide”

On February 24, National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi held a scientific session on “Tragedy, recognizing by the world - Khojaly genocide”.

During the event, museum director, academician Rafael Huseynov said that the Khojaly genocide was one of the terrible events in the history of the world. He spoke about the grave consequences of this crime committed by Armenian armed groups against our people.

Rafael Huseynov delivered a lecture on the Khojaly tragedy and the Armenian lies. He stressed that our people will never forget the Khojaly tragedy that had engraved in blood memory forever.

The scientist spoke about the fulfillments done on the international political-legal assessment of perpetrators of this brutal act. "Justice for Khojaly" international promo-campaign was created on the initiative of Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva. Because of the successful implementation of an international campaign, a number of countries have already accepted the massacre in Khojaly as a genocide. Well known faces and personalities of those countries are participating in the rallies and campaigns in several European countries, scientist noted.

Rafael Huseynov stressed the importance of making more effective films to convey the true essence of the Khojaly genocide to the world community.

Afterwards, following lectures - "Road to Khojaly", "Khojaly genocide - crime against humanity" were listened.

Finally, the appeal of the employees of the Museum’ Karabakh Branch named after Khurshidbanu Natavan to the world museums was voiced.
