Conference on "Recognition and Collection of Manuscripts" was held at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of ANAS.

The event took place within the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev "Declaration of the Year of Volunteers" in the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 30, 2019.

The conference was attended by young scholars from the Institute of Manuscripts, students of the Baku State University, as well as students of the Faculty of Philology, Oriental Studies and History of the Azerbaijan University of Languages.

Opening the event, the scientific secretary of the Institute, PhD in Philology Azizaga Najafov said that the manuscripts from the regions will be brought to the enterprise within the Year of Volunteers. He said that the purpose of the conference was to enlighten young people and students living in the regions and inform them about the nature of the manuscript.

Then the head laboratory Zaur Orujov informed the participants about the methods of ancient book processing, peculiarities of manuscripts, the ways in which they belong, their storage and collection.
