Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

October 10, 2014 National Museum of Azerbaijan Literature named after Nizami discussed “Nagorno Karabakh: history, read from the sources” monograph by head of Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev.

Opening the event museum director acad. Rafael Huseynov spoke about the importance of the book, published in Moscow, and also stressed that the work devoted to the actual problem is a valuable historical source.

Academician noted that the author based on primary sources and scientific literature indicates that Nagorno-Karabakh is part of Azerbaijan.

R. Huseynov noted that the book reveals the deep roots of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as summarizes and communicates to the world community the Armenian lies in this area.

Then, board member of the Public Association Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh, MP Rovshan Rzayev noted that, in this book Ramiz Mehdiyev explores the history of Nagorno-Karabakh region, and explores the roots of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

In the event PhD in philology Shafag Alibeyli, Dr. History Abbas Seyidov and others made reports. They talked about the historical significance of the monograph. Also, a proposal was made to translate the book into different languages and spread in the world community.
