On March 11, the first meeting of the Scientific Council on Information Technologies under the Council for the Coordination of Scientific Research of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held at the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS.

Speaking at the event, ANAS vice- president, institute director academician Rasim Alguliyev noted the need to simplify the process of protecting applicants for the training of doctors of sciences and doctors of philosophy. He noted that under the leadership of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, serious measures have been taken in this direction.

Academician R. Alguliyev said that at today's meeting 2 dissertation topics on the preparation of doctors of sciences and 3 on the preparation of doctors of philosophy will be discussed.

Next, academician gave information about the dissertation work of the Institute’s dissertator, PhD in Technology, Associate Professor Zarifa Jabrailova “Development of scientific and methodological foundations of the intellectual management of human resources in the information society”. R. Alguliyev also provided general information about the dissertation work of the Institute’s dissertator, PhD in Engineering, associate professor Yadigar Imamverdiev on the topic “Models and methods of managing electronic state information security”.

Questions on both topic were responded. As a result of the vote, the topics were approved and the applicants were allowed to defend.

During the meeting, three topics of dissertations on the preparation of a PhD were also discussed.

After discussions, thesis topics were approved by the dissertation candidate of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction Konul Sultanova “Development of models and algorithms for parallel-distributed processes in an uncertain environment”, doctoral student of Sumgait State University Ganima Huseynova “Development of models and algorithms for quality control of products and control systems in mechanical engineering” and the dissertation IIT Roza Shahverdieva "Development of models and methods for the effective organization and management of Techno parks ".

At the end of the event, an exchange of views on the activities of the Scientific Council on Information Technologies took place and a number of proposals were made.
