Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS published the book “Academician Ahad Yagubov is the founder of the science of mud volcanism in Azerbaijan”.

The scientific editor of the book published in "Elm" publishing house is the director of the institute, academician Akif Alizadeh, the authors of which are Doctors of geological and mineralogical sciences Adil Aliyev and Rahid Rahmanov.

The publication was prepared in accordance with the relevant decree of the head of the state and the decision of the Presidium of ANAS, which is planned to celebrate the 110th anniversary of academician Ahad Yagubov.

The book embraces the texts of speeches at the anniversary meeting of academician Ahad Yagubov (June 14, 2018), a prominent scholar in the field of mud volcanism in our country, twice a laureate of the USSR State Prize and Honorary Oilman of the USSR, including memories of her family members and students.

At the end of the aid, photos reflecting the activities of academician Ahad Yagubov in the field of scientific, pedagogical and civil service were added.
