During the special quarantine regime, employees of the Ganja Division of ANAS continue their research work remotely. According to the cooperation agreement signed between the division and Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS after Muhammad Fuzuli, research is carried out jointly.

Speaking about this in his interview, the chairman of the Ganja Division academician Fuad Aliyev, said that currently the final work is being carried out online with the staff of the Institute of Manuscripts to prepare for printing a monograph on the outstanding personality in the history of Azerbaijan, the last ruler of the Ganja Khanate Javad Khan, materials are adjusted and edited.

According to him, this book contains numerous scientific information and historical facts on the history of the dynasty to which Javad Khan belonged, his life and work, as well as the history of the Ganja Khanate as a whole.

Academician F. Aliyev noted that this year marks 100 years since the Ganja uprising, which is one of the brightest pages of the heroic annals of the Azerbaijani people; the uprising took place in 1920 and was directed against communist arbitrariness.

Having said that the reasons and historical significance of this event, which is a chronicle of the independence of our people, have not been studied scientifically, the division chairman added that in connection with this, only a few articles and monographs have been published, and the information given in the media is informative: “the division conducts a scientifically-based and comprehensive study of the historical roots of the Ganja uprising, determines its place and role in the history of the heroic struggle of our people, and a new monograph is being prepared for publication.” The academician noted that the author of the book - the head department of the Institute of Local Lore, Professor Hasanbala Sadigov conducted extensive research, collected a large number of materials, and consulted with a number of specialists.

F. Aliyev also added that this book, which is being prepared for publication on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Ganja uprising, will make a significant contribution to the study of the period of the Azerbaijan People Republic and to a deeper study of the history of Azerbaijan as a whole.
