An online video conference of Azerbaijani archaeologists

The staff of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS continues their effective scientific activities during the special quarantine period. The work done in the closed group "Archaeologists in quarantine" created by the employees of the institute on the social network "Facebook" and the tasks ahead are being discussed.

Employees of the company organized a video conference dedicated to the International Day of Monuments and Historic Sites on April 18. Employees of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, National Museum of Azerbaijan History, as well as master students, studying "Archeology" in Europe participated in the video conference.

The main topic of discussion at the online conference was the results of archeological research conducted in our country in recent years and the general condition of the monuments after the research.

The participants discussed the training of young professionals in the field of archeology, the use of modern technologies in research and archeometric research, and noted the importance of organizing the Faculty of Archeology in the education system of our country.

The importance of preparing proposals to make relevant amendments in certain decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers to eliminate a number of problems related to the conduct of archaeological research in our country was stressed at the video conference.

In the end, it was decided to continue online conferences on archeology during the special quarantine period.
