The next creative event of the Department of Folklore and Written Literature of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS held online, was devoted to the relationship of poetry and folklore.

Opening the event head department, ANAS corresponding member Kamran Aliyev noted that, being a valuable spiritual heritage, folklore samples have always been of interest due to their inexhaustible capabilities, creative secrets and influence on other genres. According to him, due to the relationship of poetry with folklore, the artistic possibilities of poetry have increased, new poetic patterns have arisen.

Then the talented poetess Nurana Nur invited to the event, voiced her new poems.

The event also discussed the works of various poets.

In their speeches, doctoral students of the department Fidan Gasimova, Aynur Ibrahimova, Aytaj Abbasova, students of the Doctoral program, and other employees noted that the images, motifs, and sometimes plot elements that came from folklore and mythology allowed the poets to express their thoughts more naturally. It was reported that the unity of the poet’s creative thought and the artistic thinking of the people is one of the important means for further enriching the national spiritual heritage.
