Scientific conference in Astana

These days, “Turkish world: the heritage of personalities” conference has been held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan supported by International Turkish Academy. International Forum took place on Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s initiative in 2013, at the Third Summit of Turkic-speaking countries in Gabala. Scholars and public figures from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Poland, Russia, the USA, Japan, Mongolustan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan attended the event.

The conference also included topics about Azerbaijani great thinker Ali Bey Huseynzadeh’s 150th, public figure Muhammad Rasulzadeh’s 130, Ismail Bey Gasprinski’s 100, as well as, prominent public and political figures of the Kazakh people Turar Rıskılov and Sultan Bey Kojanov’s 120th anniversaries.

 

Vice-president of ANAS, deputy of Milli Majlis, academician Isa Habibayli and head of the department of the Institute of Literature, Professor Asif Rustamli represented our country at the conference.

President of the Turkic Academy, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Darkhan Kıdırali opened the meeting, welcomed the participants of the conference, emphasizing establishment history of the Academy, underlined the importance of the Nakhchivan Declaration.

 

Speaking of Nakhchivan Declaration, adopted in 2009, vice-president, academic, Isa Habibbayli made a report on “Great thinker Ali Bey Huseynzade and modernity”. President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on Ali Bey Huseynzade’s 150th anniversary as Ali Bey Huseynzade is a great public opinions of Azerbaijan in Turkic world, the speaker stated. I.Habibbayli also touched upon “Siyasati-furusat” work by great thinker and Great dramatist Mirza Fatali Akhunzadeh’s “Kemaluddovle letters”.

Director of the Institute of Literature, Professor Asif Rustamli made a speech on “Muhammad Rasulzadeh literary and social activities”.
