November 10-11, by initiative of ANAS and the organizational support of the Executive Power of Baku City, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Communications and High Tech hosted “Baku Science Festival 2014”. In this regard, media had a tour to the technology park. The purpose of the event was within the press tour to inform the public about the festival and to acquaint journalists with the issues that are reflected in the program of the festival.

Deputy Director of Technopark, under the Ministry of Communications and high technologies Jabbar Musayev welcomed the participants and spoke about the tour to the Park. It was noted that it is an indicator of development in our country. At the same time, the tour serves to increase public interest in science through visual presentation built on a theoretical basis of scientific achievements and to attract young people into science.

During the tour, attendees were provided information about the experience of foreign countries in the field and the level of preparation for the festival in our country, as well as on the performed work. In the framework of organized activities for the first time in Azerbaijan on November 10, the exhibition showcased exhibits reflecting discoveries in various fields of science.

In turn, the director and the head of the working group “Baku Science Festival 2014”, PhD in history Nurida Guliyeva noted that the purpose of the festival is to bring Baku science and society. This is reflected not only by means of exhibitions, but also in the speeches of young scientists, the demonstration of multimedia installations, various research shows, competitions robots, showing educational films and performances in various creative fields.

November 10, their achievements at the exhibition demonstrated academic institutions and organizations of ANAS, universities and other organizations, whose activities include research conducted.

Participants of the tour were introduced to the festival site. It was noted that the event will take place at various points of the capital, including in the courtyard of the Academic campus in the Central Scientific Library, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Institute of Physics and Literature of ANAS. For the program of the festival can be traced back to the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Medical University and other universities and secondary schools in the number 6, 23 and 132-134. Note that the sponsors of the Baku festival of science are the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the company Azercell Telecom.
