Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS took part in the online conference "The role of innovations in the development of modern vegetable growing" organized by the Vegetable Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

At the event, Deputy Director for Science, PhD, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov spoke about the molecular diagnosis, identification of plant diseases, as well as the identification and study of the life cycle of insects that spread the disease, the development of measures to combat these insects.

He also expressed confidence that the development and implementation of complex projects with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture and the relevant institutes of ANAS, the effective use of material and technical and human resources of the institutes will yield positive results.

The scientific secretary of the institute, PhD Assoc. Prof. Durna Aliyeva, leading scientists of the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology of the institute – PhD Assoc. Prof. Sadagat Asadova and Assoc. Prof. Mahira Mammadova, a junior researcher of the Bioadaptation Laboratory Nargiz Bayramova also attended the meeting.
